Thesos is for self-tracking and general education about IBS. Please read this before relying on anything in the website, quiz or app.

Not a medical device

Thesos does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. It is not a substitute for a doctor's advice, examination, diagnosis or treatment.

Tests, scores and AI

Quiz results, tests (such as Rome IV-style or severity questionnaires), gut scores, flare-risk estimates, likely triggers and AI-generated insights are informational. They are based on what you enter and on general research, and they can be wrong. Only a qualified clinician can diagnose IBS or rule out other conditions.

Diet, supplements and medication

Never start, stop or change a medication, supplement or major diet (such as low-FODMAP) only because of the app. Talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian first.

See a doctor promptly if you have

Blood in your stool or black stools, unexplained weight loss, fever, persistent vomiting, difficulty swallowing, symptoms that wake you at night, anaemia, a lump in your abdomen, symptoms starting after age 50, or a family history of bowel cancer, coeliac disease or inflammatory bowel disease.

Emergencies

If you have severe abdominal pain, heavy bleeding or feel very unwell, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU and Serbia, 999 in the UK) or go to the nearest emergency department. Thesos is not monitored and cannot respond to emergencies.
